FRIDAY 7 FEBRUARY – POP INTO THE MAYOR’S PARLOUR FOR DRINK AND CAKE ANYTIME BETWEEN 10.00AM – 2.00PM RAMP UP THE RED – WEAR SOMETHING RED AND RAISE FUNDS FOR THE MAYOR’S CHARITY!! The British Heart Foundation (which is also the Mayor’s charity) are holding a national fundraising day on Friday 7 February 2014 called “Ramp up the Red” and all sorts of fundraising activities are being organised up and down the country. The Council is supporting the Mayor’s charity by holding a coffee and cake with the Mayor event between 10.00am and 2.00pm for £1.00. The idea is for staff, colleagues and members of the public to pop into the Mayor’s Parlour, meet the Mayor, Councillor Janet Holmes and have tea/coffee and homemade cake. Wear something red! We will be running a tombola and a raffle too. Raffle tickets are on sale now at the Mayor’s Office, for £1.00 a strip or 5 strips for £3.00 and prizes include a meal for 4 people at a local restaurant and a signed Frank Lampard football! Pop in and support the Mayor in this event – refreshments will be on sale in the anti-chamber between 10.00am and 2.00pm and please do feel free to pop into the Mayor’s Parlour, meet the Mayor and see the civic regalia.
