FROM ANONYMOUS: I have questions and do not wish my name to be known. My situation, I am sure, is far from unique. My father has all the symptoms of HFA also known as Aspergers, and is seeking a second opinion. I am very much like him, and suspect I am in this category as well. I feel like I cannot get help because being diagnosed as a female is difficult, and the testing seems ridiculous when I know what the result will be, not to mention it is expensive. I am very much like my father, and I am struggling with anxiety and stress-exacerbated depression, as well as memory issues. I forget to do simple things like eat and shower and it freaks the heck out of me. I do not even want to go to a counselor because I am trying to join the military and I dont want to have to lie to get in. Do you have any advice, anything that has worked to help with these issues Ive had?
