FROM KWARA LEFRO ARCHIVE KWARA PDP AND THEIR POLITICAL NIGHTMARES - FROM KWARA LEFRO ARCHIVE Opined by Abdulrahman Abdullahi Kayode Posted 3rd January, 2014, Edited 3rd January, 2015 Today makes it exactly a year when Abdulrahman Abdullahi Kayode came up with an opinion on the political happenings in the state and many of us here felt like the heaven would fall. The heaven has actually fallen and scattered the house built with spit by the PDP in Kwara state. It looks like things have actually fallen apart in the one time biggest party in the region of West Africa and the center cannot actually hold anymore. Let us first have a review of the well-articulated write up before a further assessment of the highly revealing piece that best summarises all happenings in the PDP now and the ones that are yet to come: Verily, all men are great in their dreams but the reality (wakefulness) narrows the competition. It was medically proven that the people who suffer from the personality disorder lack dreaming activity. That is, it is impossible to dream when u are snoring. Snoring would rather yield nightmare just like its yielding for Ebele Jonathan and Bamaga Tukur family in Kwara State. Their noise making has yet no impact on the political atmosphere of Kwara State. One begins to wonder who is worth his/her stewardship to be called PDP Chieftain in Kwara. Someone who has navigated intrinsically into the heart of Kwara politics would definitely come in a common belief with me that the personalities of Rasheed Alada, Oba Ajara, Kunle Sulyman, Yinka Aluko, Simeon Ajibola, Bio Ibrahim, LAK Jimoh, Mankanjuola Ajadi, Tunde Muhammed, Lola Ashiru, Oba Abdulraheem, Ladi Edun, Gbemi Saraki, Bola Sagaya among others are far from Election triumph in Kwara. The plain truth is that ninety five percent (95%) of the aforementioned politicians can not even with their illegally acquired wealth, command 50 votes from their respective families due to their past failure, selfishness, mediocrity, wickedness and inhuman acts. Let any of their week livered real and faceless advocates who have resorted to calumny of distorted facts dare me with their individual comparisons with the amiable leader in Kwara, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki and our ever-performing governor, His Excellency, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed. I swear, that would position the compared personality to the terminus of his/her political paths as i have my facts already and i am going to air it with my media strength. The funniest joke of the year 2013 was hearing S. S. Ajibola to attribute 2015 election triumph in Kwara to PDP by saying, PDP will win Kwara in 2015. Its indeed laughable! This is a man that in spite of his third term in the Red Chamber of National Assembly, he is considered to be the most useless and worthless in Kwara Politics for he hasnt successfully touched the life of a (just one person) Kwara South constituent. Viewing the news of the event live on Channels TV at first, i thought it was an end of the year party of a Nursery and Primary School as the gathering was scanty and under-crowded. The NTA version at 9pm (the next day) which is usually a pro-government news was even the worst. In contempt of the wounded lions and lionesses (Prof. Oba, SS Ajibola, Mankajuola Ajadi and others) at the event, it was shameful that less than 100 followers were in attendance. Apropos to that, report has it last month that the generality of Elders and Youths in Baruteen Local Government of the state has warned Bio Ibrahim not to come home for any campaign or political activities in the axis but come home as a gentle son of the land. This, as it was read from an open letter written and directed to him by Baruteen Progressive Union, is due to the absence of his achievements and strides for the community despite his decades of political representation and office holding. They then upheld Zakari Mohammed and Peter Kisrah as their achievers who have championed many causes for them. Is that not a minus to the dreams of these power hungry Gorilas too? There are bunches of such mighty politicians who cant boast of their childrens votes in the Kwara PDP camp. These bootless politicians make the loudest noise, forgetting they have no political structure, cook tales to discredit Senator Abubakar Bukoka Saraki as if he has no many goodwills than any of the other past governors in Kwara, they tend to deceive and confuse the good people of Kwara on truths already known to us. We are wiser than their tales! We are so wise to know the difference between an aspirant who voluntarily steps down and the one that contests but got defeated in an electoral process. This is a case of the Erudite Prof. Hassan Solihu who stepped down due to reasons best known to himself but not the rumored ABS or Emirs sponsorship. We are so wise that no one can condemn the late Saraki giving people EBA while they have also started giving people SEMO and water mellon at Adewole and other residences of their leaders. Their Kaduna Road Residence has also turned to Semo eating place whereas Semo and Eba belong to the same class of food, Carbohydrates. My people, all na Starch! Dem no fit fool us. When the things fell apart out of hypocrisy, I thought the PDP men have another identified political tactics and strategies, but the later display are antics not different from the minor tips of what they learnt from the late Sola Saraki which he has wholly bestowed on his crown heir, Sen. Bukola Saraki. Bunch of hypocrites! The obvious fact is, Kwara State is far from the grip of PDP and its embedded insanity and impunity. its only a true dreamer like Joseph that has the possibility of realization. A nightmare continues to be a nightmare till its adversity manifests. No matter how loud is the snoring of PDP in Kwara, even to the tune of the note and vibration of a bomb detonated, it would always result in nightmare, which is Optimism in Vanity. In addendum, its worth to note that other fruitless personalities who later joined their egocentric struggle like Dele Belgore, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, Kale Belgore, Jani Ibrahim among others joined, not in their hatred for the Sarakis but in their quest to wrinkle our treasury already being monthly shortfallen by their boss, GEJ at Kwarans detriment for couple of months now. Undeniably, it is the grace of having Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, a financial and management administrator per excellence as our governor that keeps our state going. Otherwise, Kwara workers would also be starving in the hand of PDP and GEJ now. We want you to visit Benue and few other PDP states and ask, some will tell you it has reached 3 or more months when workers have been paid salary. Why will they even hate the Sarakis who have always been with us come rain come shine? The late Oloyees humanitarian and philanthropic services were second to none in the state for 5 decades despite he wasnt the richest nor the most influential among Kwarans. This is a man who solely constructed many roads in Ilorin metropolis, sponsored thousands of kwara indigenes to schools home and abroad, spent his entire life putting smiles on the faces of widows, orphans and less-privileged and so on. Above all, late Olusola Saraki was an epitome of ethnicity and religion integration who saw all Kwarans as his brothers and sisters regardless of Senatorial Districts of origin. That defines the reason why ninety eight 98% of Kwara elderly statemen and traditional rulers throw their weights behind his son, Senator Abubakar Bukoka Saraki. Can we say that the I dont care and selfish attitudes of the Belgores and Abdulrasaqs who were known to be richer and more influential than Saraki then but were never be useful for Kwara and Kwarans resulted in their sons perpetual election loss? To us, that is part of it, the prime reason is that, their children are also very influential and rich but inaccessible and feckless to Kwarans. Should the SANS like Dele Belgore be useful for Kwarans like a non-kwaran Barr. Yusuf Ali SAN who sponsors hundreds of Kwaran law students to Law Schools and has several Corporate Social Responsibilities in Kwara state yearly and should the oil billionaires like Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, Bola Shagaya and others have human capacity development and philanthropic stoutheartedness for youths and elderly people in Kwara, may be they would have had many sympathisers unlike how they lose people to APC on the daily basis now. Needless to say because their miserable missions have already been revealed to Kwarans but there is a need to redefine them as they were described by one Alhaji Bashir Akanbi in one of his last year articles, Kwara PDP leaders are Private Pocket Protectors (PPP) not Full Freedom Fighters (FFF) they proclaim to be. Conclusively, it could be easily recalled that the whole crisis of old and new PDP and final defection into APC emanated from Sen. Abubakar Bukoka Sarakis interest in a just democracy where justice, equity, competency and good governance are the orders of the day; qualities impossibly met by President Jonathan and PDP. Also, we have not easily forgotten that the keen of the Kwara leader, Sen. Saraki to change and replace political positions by allowing new faces in the scheme of things and benching the weak and unproductive politicians in Kwara state made many of the Private Pocket Protectors to be furious and divorce his political camp then. That singular reason was the basis behind the foundation of their egocentric freedom fighting struggle. Like we have always asked them, why the freedom song when we are not held in anyones hostility? From time memorial in Kwara, thumbs go for the candidates of choice at polls. That is, nobody has ever compelled anybody to vote for any aspirant against his wills in our past elections. Although their were political intrigues and permutations which make a true politician. Their hypocrisy, which led them to optimistically have a nightmare of ruling our Kwara state has now resulted in vanity as opined by Comrade Abdulrahman Kayode Abdullahi. After all, the weakest candidate among Kwara PDP aspirants and the most fruitless political office holder in the history of Kwara state has emerged as their flag bearer which in turns signifies election loss before poll for them. No wonder many of the chieftains were opposed to the emergence of the Mediocre Ajibola at the primary election. The aftermath of Ajibolas primary election success is the day-to-day mass defection into APC. This according to people, the personality and antecedents of Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed is a thousand times better than one useless Ajibola and PDP leaders who hungrily harbour Goodluck Jonathan as a angel. As you could all see, Senator Bukola Saraki shunned Jonathans hard currencies and oil deals but boldly upheld the truth. On the other hand, hunger and selfishness would never allow Kwara PDP leaders to speak the frank truth, rather they would continue to pound lies and tales to discredit our own patriots and promote a system that has been inflicting Nigeria with hardship. Change is truly inevitable.
