FROM: SUNDAYS OPEN Q & A Are there any more proof text verses for the door to heaven being shut? We know there are many verses for the gospel (unto salvation) lights going out at this time (ie, Matt 24:29,Isa 13:10, Joel 3:15, Mar 13:24, Rev 6:12) to name a few. However are there any more proof text verses that we can cite to others who may ask about the door to heaven being shut? Do we need to cite these verses to support this teaching of the door being shut which is equivalent to teaching there is no more salvation? I have used Luke 13:25 and Matt 25:10 with one person who asked me point blank about where the Bible says the door to heaven will be shut before the last day. ANSWER God shut Noah (and family) into the ark in an historical type of Judgment Day: Genesis 7:16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in. There may be others Im not aware of, but I think you have the clearest 2 already.
