FROM THE NEWSROOM: State police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Brooklyn gas station and mini mart Thursday night. Troopers with the Troop D Barracks said that the call for an armed robbery at the convenience store located at 500 Providence Rd. (Route 6) in Brooklyn went out just before midnight last night. According to police, the suspects entered the convenience store and held a metal object against a cashier while at least one other person raided the cash register. The suspects fled the scene and evaded police responding to the call. Authorities said there were no reported injuries related to the robbery. A report has not yet been released.
