FROM THE NEWSROOM:(UPDATED) The 88 Main Street property in Putnam is the subject of a pending civil case regarding possession of the property, according to records released by the Putnam town clerks office. Civil action is pending between plaintiff Christopher Mark – former owner of the property which recently underwent a major facade transformation – and defendants including the town of Putnam as well as Bruce Dexter and Dexter Properties, LLC by writ dated January 6th and made returnable to the Superior Court for the Judicial District of Windham in Putnam on February 3rd. The action calls to foreclose a mortgage dated October 19th, 2009 from Dexter Properties to Mark, the plaintiff. In said action, the following items are also claimed: immediate possession of the mortgaged premises, money damages and a deficiency judgment against the maker and guarantor of the note, a reasonable attorneys fee, costs of the suit and interest, as well as further relief as the court may deem just and equitable.
