FT: Manchester United 0 - 0 Arsenal You got to give credit to David Moyes here today! He came for a draw with a solid plan and fortunately his team executed it . Some discussion about the tactics: United always made sure the four defenders were behind whenever Arsenal attacked. Giroud was sharply marked and fullbacks did their max to avoid any crossings or penetration in the box. Also the three midfield men protected the United defence all the time. This I assume was because Arsenals major threat came in from the center of the park.. However the fourth midfielder were the winger who assisted the full back if there was any attack from the flank. Rooney maintaining the tempo and chased the ball thoroughly and Persie kept lurching around in for a counter attack. Significantly Moyes also removed Mata when Chamberlain came in. He added fresh legs so any potential wing play could be well tracked. Job Well Done! (Y)
