FUEL SCARCITY? FROM MY ARCHIVES... Two years ago, I wrote: Iyke Durumba Im sure scholars of human character will find the Nigerian impossible to analyze. Nigerians have an infinite capacity for unnecessary suffering. Its so disgusting! Twice yesterday, i was constrained to buy 10litres of black market petrol at N2,200 each. Needless to say it blew a hole in my pocket and i cursed govt most heartily. Now, i got to this petrol station at 6a.m (i slept at 2a.m!) only to find at least 70 other cars in a queue. At this rate, most of my morning is gone. How can Nigerians stand so much suffering without exploding? Our docility is our greatest undoing. These accursed animals who govern our affairs know our limitless patience and exploit it to enrich themselves knowing nothing will happen. Right now, being unarmed and alone, i can only curse: To everyone who has had a hand in this misery, may your children turn round to curse you! May the rest of your miserable lives be filled with pain! If you die, may you NEVER rest in peace! There, ive cursed, i feel much better. Afterall im a Nigerian too. 5 December 2012 at 07:13 · Privacy: Public
