FWMP & MESSY DAMN STUDIOS Got FWMP#6 to the printers on time this afternoon. Felt so good. I am so proud of it. I love the way I keep on pushing myself to make better work. On a wall of my studio, Ive got numbers 1-6 taped up with my beloved tape. And, man, it is cool to see the progression. My Papers are such a reflection of my life. All they are really is pictures that illustrate feelings of mine. And aint that cool? Theyre not trying to be Picasso or Zambesi or whatever. They are just mine. For people to like. Or not. Simple little pieces of paper that visually describe something that mattered to me at the time. Marvelous. Bur then right after I had the victory of sending #6 off, I spent a fruitless hour rummaging through my entire studio for a bloody keyboard... went through nearly every box and still cant find it. As a result the studio has boxes everywhere. Arrrgh. Damn and bloody mess. On top of that, I didnt have lunch then had an icecream and a pie about 3pm and now Im feeling all weird and annoyed. Man, I need good food. And regularly! On the plus side, Im sitting at my desk, quickly typing before going to light the fire and make dinner, and I think just how lucky I am to be doing my work. Lucky to have a studio at all, no matter how messy it is. Yeah yeah but all I wanna do is white whine about my mess... For sure, this studio wont be seen on any design website anytime soon. But hey, what my studio reflects, for better or worse, is ME. MY life. MY work. As far as Im concerned, if I keep doing work as good as I am doing in it, then let the mess pile up! But please, can someone send me a finding-your-spare-keyboard fairy? I need her. Happy Friday. :-)
