FYI: Years ago I created two Facebook accounts to keep real friends (real world friends and relatives, online friends I knew through groups and other venues) separate from fans (people who read my articles and books and want to connect with me on FB but whom I dont know). Some time back, FB started allowing people to follow you without you having to friend them in return, and they can see your public posts in their timelines (but not those you set to display to friends only). This pretty much does away with the need for a second business account, and so Ive hardly logged onto that other one at all in the last year. But because it was named Deb Shinder and this one was named Debra Harris Littlejohn Shinder, people who are friends with both would frequently tag me as Deb Shinder. That was confusing, so as of tonight Ive deactivated the other account and renamed this one to Deb Shinder as the primary account name. Hopefully this will simplify my Facebook life and also make it easier for my friends. Meanwhile, I still have an actual fan page called Deb Shinder - Writer where I can do announce-only stuff, if anyone wants to like it. I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
