Facebook Friends are a strange relationship. I have quite a few people that I now think of as good friends and confidantes, who I feel I know well, or at least share a strong bond, be it via socio-politics, sense of humour, shared interests, or just a personality match, despite the fact that Ive never met them. One of the oddities is in knowing what they look like; some people have prolific prodile picture folders, and I am pretty sure I would instantly recognise them in the street. Others either have one or two, often in fancy dress, or even none. When someone youve never met before, that you think youve got a handle on, changes their profile pic to something radically different, it is quite odd.
