Facebook and social media have seriously opened my eye to the way many peoples minds function. You are their best friend when you tolerate their hypocrisies and enemy when you put them right. I want a one Nigeria where people can live side by side respecting one anothers right to life and peaceful existence and cherishing our rich diversity NOT one where I am supposed to live in fear of my neighbour because he prefers violence or silence in the midst of violent storms to peace as a way of covering his insecurity. Sadly, I am very intolerant of injustice and poor behaviours and will not remain silent while such insecure people waste the lives of innocent people or turn a blind eye while evil thrives. I have noticed that although many Nigerians carry big certificates and look down on others who do not have or care about worthless certificates, majority of us are educated illiterates or selectively educated and emancipated. For me its all or nothing. I can excuse the ignorance or arrogance of a totally illiterate brother or sister who have been disadvantaged by many years of reckless leadership in Nigeria but not that of a supposed literate brother or sister. We must act with respect towards one another irrespective of our tribes, religion or political affiliations. Anything below that is unacceptable. Long day ahead but we will get there.
