Facebook asks, What is your position at Actor? Well, Facebook, interesting question. Ive never really wanted to do any other kind of work since age 9, and yet for a very long time I wasnt very good at it. After working hard for years and writing a grim financial destiny for myself, I got to be pretty good at it but it still didnt turn into much of a career. I have a strange look and high voice, so film and television have never had much use for me. I went to New York when I was young but I wasnt ready at all. Then took a long break because I thought I was going to be a monk. Ive auditioned for some exciting things - Hollywood films, tv series, Avenue Q in Vegas - but casting people (though they tend to like my work) dont really know what they want to do with me so I dont work much. I work with a little theatre company in Las Cruces, acting and sometimes directing, and that feels good; recently produced a vehicle for myself and toured with it, that has been well received; sometimes teach, and some days I hide under the bed wondering how on earth Im going to survive. Usually Ill find something under the bed Id been looking for, so its all good.
