Facebook asks me what is on my mind.... This morning, I am thinking about Pastors. Pastors all across New England. I can picture them as they once again get ready to go before His people to bring forth the Word. I can see the Pastor who may not be feeling 100% beg God to once again be the strength because he himself is weak. I can see the pastor who has been up all night grieving with others because of an unexpected tragedy that night. Though tired, he works through exhaustion and sorrow to fulfill his calling. I see a pastor who has spent a lifetime behind a pulpit, begging God to keep him fresh and relevant as he continues to preach and teach. I see a Pastor who arrives early and prays quietly beside each empty pew begging God that the occupants will meet their divine appointment that either changes their eternal destiny or refocuses their eternal perspective. I see a pastor that is wondering how many of the sheep will be there this morning to receive what God has given him to share. I see a young, new pastor excited and scared to death at the same time as he steps behind his workstation, the pulpit. I see the bi vocational pastor who works at another job throughout the week in order to be able to serve a church that cannot afford a full time pastor. I pray for you pastors this morning. I admire you. I respect you. ...that is what is on my mind..
