Facebook world. I would like to point out that I know you all think your are married to amazing people, BUT let me tell you how amazing my wife Laura Van Hook Spann is. First, she puts up with me and that should win her the nobel peace prize. Second, I am graduating tomorrow from the Executive MBA program at TCU ranked #21 on the planet (seriously, look it up in the Economist magazine). Three, I will officially retire on Dec 31st from FWPD to enter the civilian world for the first time ever as a corporate business man (which, I really retired last month and have been working for a bit in my new role). The only way this would have been possible was to have a great family (Yes that includes you Carol Holstead Van Hook) with a great dad Gregory Spann and a wife that literally ran our whole house hold with our daughter Maggie, house renovation, and so much more while I somewhat abandoned our family for 16 months to take on this EMBA program. So in short (as it never is with me) I would also like to thank some great class mates (too many to mention) and some of my oldest friends Rick Salas (who has put up with me since the 2nd grade) and Joni Hardin-Teague who have been amazing and supportive. If everyone was as lucky as me with a wife like mine then there would be world peace, no need for cops and Marines. What would the world like that be (probably boring, but what the hell).
