Faculty Spotlight: Prof. Dr. Emil Constantinescu President of The ICD Academy for Cultural Diplomacy After graduating from the University of Bucharest with a degree in Law, Prof. Dr. Emil Constantinescu became a local judge. Following his time in the judicial profession, he returned to the University of Bucharest where he undertook a Doctorate in Geology. Dr. Constantinescu was elected as Vice-President of the University of Bucharest and became its President from 1992 until 1996. During his presidential mandate from 1996 to 2000 (as President of Romania), Dr. Constantinescu opened the crucial way for Romania towards joining NATO and the EU.
