Faith leaders: Bring free legal help to the neediest members of your community: contact New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) to schedule a Mobile Legal Help Center visit. The Interfaith Center has worked with NYLAG and the Mobile Legal Help Center in the past, and we have seen the high quality of legal professionals who are involved. They are able to advise people on all kinds of situations, including tenant/landlord disputes, debt issues, family court concerns, and immigration. They can even connect via video link to judges for emergency hearings, including domestic violence and eviction cases. This is a free service, and a great way to provide much-needed help to low income members of your community.
