Fake CBIs are back, Real Life Special 26 !!! Enacting the Akshay Kumarstarred movie Special 26, three youths, posing as officials of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Income Tax, entered the house of a Patna- based trader, who runs a grocery shop at Ashok Puri on Thursday night and allegedly fled with valuables worth lakhs of rupees. The fake officials, on the pretext of investigation documents, first raided the house of Vinod Kumar, the trader, on Thursday night and stayed there until early hours on Friday. The conmen allegedly locked up all the inmates of the house inside a room before taking away the valuables. According to Kumar, the phony officials entered his house at around 9.15 pm on Thursday and identified themselves as officials of the CBI and I-T after showing him their fictitious identity cards. They said they had come to check his businessrelated documents. Pinky Kumari, daughter of the businessman, said the youths initially asked them to show their PAN cards and Aadhaar cards and took pictures of their house. They also asked for documents related to my fathers income tax returns, she said. After going through the papers, these officials reportedly said that they would have to take the trader to their office for further interrogation. The conmen told Kumar that strict action would be taken against the trader for the financial irregularities committed by him. Later, the youths collected all the gold ornaments, which had been kept in the house for the marriage of Kumars son, which was to be solemnised soon. They loaded all the costly goods in a big vehicle in which they had come and went away early friday morning. When we requested them not to take our camera, they threatened to kill us, Pinky said. The Patna Police was informed about the incident soon after the robbers left. In the 2013 Bollywood film, Akshay Kumar led a gang of con men who used to raid people in the guise of CBI officers in a similar fashion. This is not the first time when the plot of Special 26 had inspired criminals in Bihar. In May this year, the Patna Police arrested four youngsters, including a girl, for duping people in the guise of police officers.
