Family and friends, Please join me in praying for a dear brother of mine from South Africa. He is currently being held hostage by the Muslims that he used to be acquainted with when he was a Muslim in the past. They have beaten him and he expects that he will likely be executed by morning. The only reason that we know anything is because he had a second phone hidden in his sock which he has used to let us know. It is so burdening to hear. My heart is broken...as are the hearts of the rest of my team. At the same time, I know that he is in Gods hands. And I know that he is willing to give it all. In his own words in the message that he got out to us all, he said, I am ready to commit myself to the one and only that gave me truth and life. Please pray with me. That if God is willing, that he would be freed. But also, pray that whether The Lord chooses to free him or to take him home, that the hearts of his captors would be pierced by the gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit and witness of my dear brother. Jesus said that persecution would come. He also said that it is a blessing to be persecuted for His name. My brother is experiencing this as we speak. What a privilege. As odd as it is to say that. The reality is, this stuff is real. And though it may not hit home with you, it hits very very close to home with me and my team. I challenge you to consider your own walk with The Lord. And to consider the cost of following Him. And to get on your knees before Him...both in prayer, and in surrender. I love you all. Grace and peace to each of you, in the name of Jesus.
