Farne Islands Trip report. Why aye man! Wi had blue skies, sunshine an calm seas fre the forst dive trip o the season. Plenaty of Seals an a geet skipper tee . He even took aal the cylinders away at the end of each dyah an browt them back stowed the next. Gan canny Vesna or well dunsh summick. The ernly downside wez the water temperature, so an extra ganzie was useful on the keel. The cold did tyek its toll on divers, wi many fowk not completing aal the diving. Underwater the visibility wez generally OK, but the cold water temperatures meant tha the marine leif wez a few weeks bheend weor it waad normally be. Hooevah , everyone saw young seals, deed man’s fingers, sponges, crabs, lobsters, star fish, sea urchins, alang wi a few seeing various fish, jelly fish an even an octopus. Oot o the water, wi had a geet curry in Seahouses on Saturday neet an boozah grub up in Beadnell on the Sunday neet. Many thanks must gan te Coast fre organising the accommodation.
