Fascinating stuff coming out of the world of WeChat in Chinas Xinjiang region - forwarded by a friend. It basically outlaws men with long beards (requiring them to shave them) and women wearing traditional dress (burka/吉里巴甫 or something called a liqieke/里切克 that I couldnt find English for). It specifies five types of individuals - 1. women wearing burkas; 2. women wearing the Liqieke; 3. women wearing a veil; 4. middle aged men with large beards; and 5. people wearing clothing with a crescent moon and star - forbidding them from entering a number of public areas. The photos are images and the original regulation in Chinese. I hope this does not rub anyone the wrong way - I found this interesting enough to share and while I do think it is blindly discriminatory, I will refrain on making specific comments on it on such a public venue as Facebook.
