Fasting is a priority & opportunity to express oneself in an undivided & intensive devotion to the Lord.... Fasting is linked to Petition it is the component of worshiping the Lord & seeking His favor....Fasting along with Prayer indicates the sincerity of the person praying & the critical nature of the situation they find themselves....The more critical the situation the more appropriate the fasting & prayer....The diciples had authority over the unclean spirit (Mark 6:7)bt they could nt perform the exorcism when they asked Jesus why they could nt do that Jesus answered This kind comes out only by Prayer & Fasting (Matt 17:21)....A determined Foe must be met with equaly determined Faith....Prayer is a ready weapon in the Spiritual battle & Fasting helps prayer to focus & give it resolve
