Fathwa of Shaykh Ibnu Baaz Rahimahullah Regarding the Signs of Last Day This is a Fathwa of Shaykh Ibnu Baaz Rahimahullah regarding the signs of the last day. It was originally published in his official website. The question: Oh shaykh! What are the signs of the last day? And what are the signs which has happened so far? Answer: The last day has got many signs and from among that is what the messenger صلى الله عليه و سلمexplained to Jibreel, the slave girl giving birth to her own master. The slave girl – the girl who is possessed by someone else- giving birth to her master – her possesser –it implies the increase in the slaves and captives. And it has happened in the life of prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم and thereafter. The increase in number of slaves and people reproduced through her, this has happened from long ago. And likewise, what was said by prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم “you can see the barefooted and naked sheperds competing each other to build high rise buildings” This also happened from long ago. And the last day has got another signs which has not yet happened and will happen only nearby the day, which are ten continuous signs. The raise of Mahdee, he is from the lineage of prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم, his name is Muhammed bin Abdillah and will call to thawheed and application of the Islamic rules. And he will fill the earth with justice as it was filled with injustice and oppression before. His arrival is close to the descending of Esa alayhissalam and prior to that by a short time . The second is the coming of Dajjal, who comes from the east, from Khurasan. He will claim that he is prophet and later that he is the lord of all creations. And he will show some magic that are explained in the sayings of prophetصلى الله عليه و سلم. And then, descending of Esa alayhissalam, he is in the heaven and will descend from there. He was neither killed nor crucified, but was risen. And he will kill Dajjaal and call to the thawheed of Allah and following the Sharee’ah of Muhammed صلى الله عليه و سلم. The fourth sign is Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj. Ya’jooj and ma’jooj will come in the time of Esa alayhissalam. Then Allah will kill them in the time of Esa alayhissalam and will relieve from their evil. Then six signs: the great smoke, the demolishing of Ka’bah, rising of Qur’an, coming of the Daabbathul Ardh , rising of sun from the west and then the great fire that originates in a pit in ‘Adan and gathers the people to Shaam. And this fire will stay with them if they stay –while travelling to sham- and will wait them where they sleep. Then the last day will occur on the time that Allah عز و جل wishes. But in the last period after the sun’s rice from the west, the coming of daabathul ardh, and before the great fire Allah عز و جل will send a good wind that will take the soul of all believing men and women. After that no one will remain except the evil and the last day will happen on them. They will live on earth whatever time Allah عز و جل allows, worshipping other than Allah عز و جل and sinning. They won’t be worshipping Allahعز و جل nor be knowing him and the last day will happen upon them. We ask Allah عز و جل for safety and protection.
