Favorite time at Family Fest yesterday morning: Our Sunday speaker - TopicsExpress

Favorite time at Family Fest yesterday morning: Our Sunday speaker was Leonard Sweet. He talked about how the bible is full of stories. Jesus spoke to us in stories. I didnt hear much after that because God flooded by mind with all of the God stories in my life. Miraculous, wonderful stories of answered prayers, when He proved to me over and over and over again -beyond a shadow of a doubt - that He IS. How He brought me back to Him through Steve Bartkowski; led me to Duluth Church of God; gave Pastor Hutchinson the sermon to speak to ME that Sunday; provided me with a beautiful, pale yellow cadillac for $3000. The extended warranty on it cost more than that!; touched my sons blinded eye and made a liar out of the doctor. He (my son) can do everything the doctor said he couldnt - especially thread a fish hook! :D ; of the time when I was laying in bed and praying to God because I couldnt afford presents for my son at Christmas and the phone rang right then (at almost 11:00 p.m.!!!) telling me that I had won a Browning hunting rifle; the time God told me to buy Christmas toys for a family one night and the next morning to give to missionaries at church. I didnt have the money in the bank for either one and I argued with God. But, I did it. After I put the check in the offering plate and passed it down, an envelope was being passed to me from the other direction. It was a Christmas love gift to me from a Sunday School class and it was the exact amount that I needed to cover the cost of the toys and missionary offering I gave. God would have given me more, but He wanted to show me His omniscience!; the story of how He gave me my job at Duluth City Hall; the answer to me about a position as clear as the writing on the wall; how He answered my prayer for the Best Cancer Doctor in the US that I found in the Good Housekeeping magazine, even though he wasnt on my insurance plan (now that IS a miracle!); how he gave me my brand new house in the mountains, next to the National forest, for an unbelievable low cost; prayers for my family; the death of my daddy; how God named my dog. So many, many, many God stories in my life that I have told to others to encourage them and to show them God! Over time I have forgotten to reflect back on these stories and I am positive there are many I have forgotten. I thanked God this morning for bringing some of these stories back to my remembrance. I also asked Him to give me many more stories and to put the right people in my path that need to hear them. Are you telling the stories of Jesus in your life? These are the stories that matter the most.
