Favour Favour in my language means oju rere. We often find ourselves asking people for favour saying: can u do me a favour, pls do me a favour, I need a favour from you, etc. And some of us who believe in God also as him saying: give me your favour, let me find favour, surround me with favour, the set time to favour me has come etc. We all want favour either with God or with men. So I asked myself, what makes me qualified to get a favour from you? What makes you qualified to get a favour from me? What makes us qualified to get a favour from God? Although I dont think I can really answer for you, but in an attempt to answer all three questions above, These are my thoughts. Please correct me if I am wrong. 1. Wisdom: if a person demonstrates wisdom skill or knowledge in a particular field I know he will definitely attract favour in that area. I once got a job I did not apply for just because I showed competence. Every time I show how good my photography works are I get a job that was probably meant for someone else. So the more we grow in wisdom the more favoured we will be even by God. 2. Stature: yes your weight size and height can bring you favour. Dont go looking for modeling work if you are a plus size, thick madam. You are not likely to find any favour there. If the girl like her man to be tall, dark, handsome and loaded and you are short and light skinned....hmmn. So having the right stature for the kind of favour you need also helps. This also includes character and integrity. I am sorry but if you are dishonest you dont get favours. 3. Gratitude: especially with God. You dont learn to praise him, he is not moved to favour you. If you show gratitude for little you get more. And if you show gratitude for more, you get much more. So as you relate with people always remember to say THANK YOU. 4. Status: the last but not the least. There are some favour set aside for people who have certain status. If it is reserved for the married and you are single, you dont get it. If it is reserved for parents and you are not, you dont get it. If I throw a bonanza for brides and your occasion is not a wedding...you wont partake. Again if is meant for friends and you are not a friend or for a husband... There are certain favours that I alone can get from my wife. Dont for get that if you meet the criteria for favour and you are not at the right place, at the right time doing the right thing. You may miss it. Time and chance happens to us all. Do not let opportunity pass you by. Now please do me a favour. Read, copy and share this post with friends. Thank you.
