Feather Cove Burglary: Today a home was burglarized in your neighborhood. This occurred between 1030am and 130pm on Cleat Court. Victim notice d a gray car, no further description. This gray car parked across the street. The victim was working in her yard with her garage door open. When she finished her yard work, she went inside and noticed the door to the inside of the house to be open. Later, she noticed a jewelry box open and then the missing items. Nothing else was disturbed. The following items are known to be stolen at this time. Three gold necklaces Various costume jewelry Earrings We believe the suspects are casing homes in the area. They may be driving a dark colored medium sized SUV with Illinois places. This is the description of the suspect vehicle wanted in a burglary which occurred yesterday in Admirals Sound. That burglary was different as the homeowner had just left and the suspects kicked in the doors and then went directly to where the jewelry was and did not disturb anything else. They even passed up multiple electronics and only took the jewelry. One neighbor noticed the same vehicle occupied by 3-4 college aged white males on Saturday. The car was sitting suspiciously by some homes. This homeowner confronted them and told them to leave. We would have preferred she call us or the police department. We are advising all residents to increase their situation awareness and when they notice something unusual or suspicious, we ask they call us or the police right away. There are many desperate criminal groups committing crimes every day very near your neighborhood. Please use caution and avoid confrontation with them. Let us, the Police confront them.
