Federal Government frontbencher Jamie Briggs has described United States president Barack Obamas speech urging more global climate action as a distraction. Mr Obama delivered a speech to a capacity crowd at the University of Queensland on Saturday ahead of his official G20 duties in Brisbane. In his speech he called for Australia and other nations to step up and do more to deal with climate change. Talking to Sky News, Mr Briggs said the strong rhetoric from the Mr Obama is not matched by action.
