Federal subpoena in Quinn anti-violence program A federal grand jury has subpoenaed emails of top officials involved in Gov. Pat Quinns troubled anti-violence program. On Friday, Quinns office provided The Associated Press a subpoena seeking emails of the former director of the agency responsible for running the program, a former deputy chief of staff in Quinns office, a former chief of the Department of Central Management Services and two others. A spokesman says Quinn is cooperating with law enforcement and has directed all state agencies to do the same. The May 13 subpoena came after auditors blasted the program for mismanagement and misspending and before a state commission subpoenaed people – including some whose emails the grand jury subpoenaed – involved in the program.
