Feds think entirely too highly of themselves. This Act (Gowdy) - TopicsExpress

Feds think entirely too highly of themselves. This Act (Gowdy) reinforces a fallacy that only the federal government has authority to act in regards to state security. The ASSUMPTION is that states have to be GIVEN permission or authority of police powers (in this case, border enforcement) - authority that states have always had. Even individual citizens can arrest illegals on their private land because they are CRIMINALLY TRESPASSING. States already have the sovereign right to enforce state or federal law. This SAFE ACT is meaningless and not necessary. If we understood the nature of our own government, border enforcement wouldnt be an issue at all. This act spreads the NOTION that states need federal permission to act in their own defense, or be given authority to enforce the law. Its bullcrap. AZ has 4 borders, not just the three adjacent state borders. The Mexican border is the most important of them all. When the federal government FAILS TO ENFORCE THE LAW, states have the responsibility and DUTY to ensure good law, constitutional law is enforced, border protection included.
