Fee will is the vehicle used to maneuver through the blue print or life plan that each of us has written. Making decisions is using free will. Each yes or no, right or left, wrong or right takes us down a new path. It is that simple. Let me explain. If you think for second about the last decision you made, what was it? It could have been whether or not to read this post or another, a simple, ‘this or that’ decision. If ‘this’ was the answer then you have the chance to learn something. If ‘that’ was the answer and you are reading something else, you have the chance to learn something entirely different. Now learning is learning, and that’s great, but the choice was what you are going to learn, one the post could have been filled with what you consider to be useless information that is now stuck in your head and other was something that you found bettered your day or even your life. (I’m hoping this wasn’t the ‘useless’ information post!) Each of us has free will and sometimes it seems like we don’t, but if you look hard and you can remove the ‘you’ from where you feel you no longer have free will, I promise you will see it. You may not like it or even disagree, but it is there. I will give you an example. Your friend is terrified of spiders. (Ok this is not an example this me!) I am terrified of spiders. I can chose to live my life always being scared of them or I can find away to wrap my head around not being scared. It is my free will to live either way. For lots of people this seems to be ridiculous. They will tell me I am a thousand times bigger than the spider, or its nature or they are more afraid of you than you are of them, to which my answer is, ‘please stop talking!’ Each time a spider shows up in my life, my free will is presented. Each time I make a decision to either, stand my ground and deal with the eight legged intruder OR, I can climb inside my comfort zone and run away like a little girl screaming ‘SPIDER!!!’ The example is silly I know, but it demonstrates how free will gets presented, when you think you have none. It also demonstrates how you can see where someone else has free will even though they can’t see it themselves. Your free will also plays a large part in how fast things happen in your life. If you are someone who stays in their comfort zone (please previous posts about comfort zones) your free will is allowing the stalemate in your situation and nothing will change. If you jump out of your comfort zone and use your free will to make changes, things can happen much faster. I know this post is long, and I could have gone with heavy examples but I feel that these posts need to be lighter and if I can make you laugh then it’s a hit in my books!
