Feelin sad tonight. A very influential person in my life is home with Hospice. A little known fact, I quit school my junior year of high school. And my Aunt Janie had a FIT when she found out and gave me the THIRD DEGREE!! I told her if things didnt work out, I would go back......and she stood up on a piece a furniture and yelled at the top of her lungs LET IT BE HEARD JANICE MARIE SAYS YOULL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO FINISH SCHOOL AND GET YOUR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA!!!!......God I remember hearing her voice and seeing the tears in her eyes while she was doing that as if it were yesterday. Well.....eventually I moved to California with a pregnant wife and couldnt get a job digging ditches without a High School Diploma........but more than that.....her words kept going through my mind. I DID go back to High School and I DID get my High School Diploma. Not a GED. I worked 10 hours a day and went to High School at night to get my High School Diploma and then went on to College! Thanks to her.........because I wanted so badly to prove her wrong......I became so much MORE than I could have ever been without her presence in my life. Janie........thank you......for your influence on me when I was young to help me become the man I am today. Life gets in the way sometimes and I should have visited more.......should have called more........but Ill love you forever. Please give a big BIG hug to Mom for me. Tell her and Freda and Grannie & Granddad I love them all. Well ALL be together someday.......
