Feeling a little heavy hearted tonight. I love my job but sometimes the calls we have to take can be a little overwhelming. Lost a close family friend today that Id watched grow up, and that always hits close to home... and a fatality car accident that claimed the life a young man way before his time, and another one critically injured. They both were the same age as my oldest son, and that in itself can make your heart skip a beat. I found myself checking for updates on Facebook all evening and now, here at bedtime, they are still on my mind. I cant even fathom the amount of pain the family feels. Tonight, I pray for peace and strength for both families. Each time Ive thought about this today, and I felt a lump in my throat, and I have the same thought enter my mind each time Footprints In The Sand My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you. Whisper a prayer for both families tonight before go to bed.
