Feeling a mix of emotions today 😭 Our beautiful little Vivian is 4 months old today. She is so big and so strong, and has endured so much more than people do in a lifetime. She is such an inspiration to be a better, stronger person. Daddy and Mommy love you more than words can say you perfect little pumpkin! We also had her bronchoscopy done this morning and FINALLY have found out that she has tracheomalacia. That is where her airway collapses, causing her to need to be resuscitated. The malacia is pretty far down the windpipe, right above where the split is for the lungs. We have put in a longer trach to see if we can bypass the malacia, but they are unsure if it will go down far enough and she has already stopped breathing with her new trach. There are a couple more things we can try in the next couple weeks, otherwise we wait to see if she can grow out of it, meaning as she grows, her airway grows. Our poor girl 😔
