Feeling extremely nostalgic today. As I got the leaves off our yard this morning, I realized that this marks the 35th year Ive lived in our home. I bought it when it was just sticked-in 1979. We moved in right at Veterans Day, November, 1979. Many older people in the South call the place they grew up The Old Home Place. So, for the kids we raised here: Brent, Stephany, Ken and Kevin.....this is their Old Home Place. We have made many changes throughout the years and we remain very thankful for our home and very proud to have been the kind of people that have honored our home throughout the years having our family here for decades with Easters, 4th of July celebrations, Thanksgivings and Christmas with the entire family. Our children and grands and other family members will always know that this is their home as well as ours. God has been good to us. Tears come to my eyes on this 35th anniversary of us living in our home.
