Feeling much better today, going in to the Guild office to work on - TopicsExpress

Feeling much better today, going in to the Guild office to work on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. Wednesday I have a CAT scan and other tests, prior to next weeks final round of chemo. Chemotherapy kicks your ass big time. You never know what bad thing will happen, or when. The hair coming out in clumps, then losing it altogether is the least of it. The nausea, bone numbing pain, insomnia, and itching, that comes and goes without warning, along with the general anxiety, the worry that something else awful could happen at any minute really puts the fun in cancer treatment. The only thing to do is keep going, knowing that this too shall pass. In this case, the ordeal started in January, when the doctor said Good news, the cancer you have is curable, we just have to remove the softball sized tumor and your left kidney, no problem. Well, here it is the middle of May and in another two weeks this will be done. I am cancer free and finishing the chemo treatment on May 22. Hopefully I can put this behind me. My heart felt thanks to everyone that has been so supportive during this ordeal. You find out who your friends really are when challenges like this appear.
