Feeling overwhelmingly blessed! 11 years ago, JD got his first pair (and only) of hearing aids. We have replaced many molds, many tubes, many microphones. A lot of technology has come into the audiology world in 11 years. I would be amiss if I didnt publicly thank the firm I work for. The most amazing gift a young boy with hearing loss could have ever asked for I the gift of hearing! I would also be amiss if I didnt thank Myra Moore for all she did...she knows! Today we are blessed again. Healthy Athletes with Special Olympics will give JD new hearing aids with the latest bluue tooth technology. At no cost to us. For those who fall between the cracks of not qualifying for Medicaid and insurances DOES NOT cover hearing aids, (you know, the insurance comapny says its not a medical necessity), this is a HUGE blessing. I truly dont even have words for the blessing just given to JD. Really I am speechless. I mean, like, crying speechless. All I could say was thank you. It doesnt even seem like enough. Just thank you. Wow. Thank you Jesus, thank you Special olympics Healthy Athletes, thank you FSU. Wow.
