Feeling the need to share my blessings with the world right now... I am not ashamed to share the emotional state that Im in tonight. Because remembering this night one year ago, brought tears to my eyes while dancing with my amazing husband in our tiny little kitchen. Tonight marks one whole year since his accident.. Since his terrible fall that fractured his spine & shattered his wrist.. Since the 17 day long stay at VCU Medical Center.. Since having a surgical spinal fusion and needed weeks and months of rehabs and therapy.. I cannot begin to explain the whirlwind of a year we have been through because of the obstacle that was placed before us. Having faith in The Lord gave us strength. We are a stronger couple now than we ever have been. Yet still, my thoughts are all over the place.... Remember that night & where we were, how much worse it could have been, the pain that we endured, the ups and the downs, but mostly, the over pouring amount of love and support that was shown from our family and friends... Wow. Just wow. We are so very blessed today and every day. ❤️
