Ferguson MO is offering amnesty for all outstanding traffic warrants. THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOUR CHARGES ARE DROPPED. This just means anyone with an outstanding TRAFFIC warrant can get a new court without being arrested and having to post a bond. UPDATE: St. Ann Police Chief supports the amnesty. St. Ann is the most unnecessarily difficult court to deal with in the entire city. For example... they dont accept any court correspondence via fax or email. They only accept snail mail. They also typically require an appearance to get a continuance. Basically that means YOU HAVE TO SHOW UP TO TELL THEM WHY YOU COULDNT SHOW UP. They do this on purpose and for one reason... money. Traffic law in north county is a cash cow racket for tiny municipalities built on indentured servitude of poor people. Not surprised these places are started to be investigated by the justice department.
