#Ferguson What GOD SAYS is that every human being was made in his image (Gen. 1:27) , He is impartial (Acts 10:34-35) , blessed are those who mourn (Matthew 5:4), we should he seeking justice (Isaiah 1:6-17) , mourn with those who mourn (Romans 12:15). I love all of my brother and sisters in Christ and I understand that we are all flawed but we are also family. So regardless of how you feel about the verdict I just ask for sympathy and that you pray for empathy for minorities who are christians. Its beyond evident that society doesnt see us the same although we pray , worship and fellowship together. I also ask that you pray for a heart that is emptied of prejudice and racism and one that will be filled with the heart of Christ. When Jesus comes all of this will be fixed but until then we bring heaven to Earth by living a life that doesnt see black and white but humans who bear the image of our Creator. Feelings on the verdict Regardless of the evidence and my opinion of it all, it still hurts to see another life wasted but specifically a young black male life. Im not saying Brown was perfect but I just can conceive that if he was white the reaction of the office during the altercation wouldve been the same. With that being said, I refuse to live in fear of those who are suppose to protect me and I will not portray that feeling on my family , peers or my children. There are effective and ineffective ways to respond to this and many people need to take heed. Ineffective response Violence doesnt bring Brown back to life, put Wilson anywhere closer to prison or prevent anything like this from happening again. Violence hurts the community, looting has destroyed businesses and now schools are closing tomorrow so students and teachers can feel safe. The absolute worst decision anyone could do at this point is to continue with acts and words of hate and violence (no matter what your opinion is on the case). Effective response Educate yourself politically and stop waiting for injustices to happen to do so. When people dont vote, dont read the news, dont participate in community and political events it hurts society. There are bills that can be passed, petitions to be signed, peaceful protests to be apart of etc. Just get involved in whats going on in the world and dont just stand still until something happens that interests you. We need politicians, lawyers, police officers, business owners etc. who love Jesus and live their lives through His word. That cant happen if we dont change how we pay attention to our world around us. I still love this country, Im grateful to be an American but I dont belong here. I long for the day my Lord comes to set everything right but until then Ill try to live out Heaven on Earth by abiding by His word. #PrayforFerguson
