Few days ago COP receive a report of orangutan ownership, after a long trip, COP team arrived in Beringin Agung Village, Telaga Antang Sub-District, Kotim, Central Kalimantan. And found this little Alung, a female orangutan around 2 years old. Probably, Alung is a victim from landclearing activity in Sampit and Alung lost his mother also & had to be tipped to be a pet. According to her owner, he bought her from the seller, while shes sick, and treat her as domestic pet. Until finally by pretext of not being able to finance the needs of the orangutan, he finally contacted the COP team. just because to fulfilled their ego for living, some humans are willing to sacrifices life and the future of other creatures. Alung probably still have a chance to live in the wild, but can the other little Alung have the same fate ?, or probably more worse? Orangutan is NOT a PET, they belongs to the wild and have the same rights like humans to live. --- Beberapa hari lalu COP menerima laporan akan adanya kepemilikan orangutan, setelah melalui perjalanan yang panjang sampailah Tim COP di Desa Beringin Agung, kec Telaga Antang, Kotim, Kalimantan Tengah. Dan menemukan si kecil Alung, orangutan betina yang kurang lebih berumur 2 tahun, kemungkinan Alung adalah korban landclearing suatu lahan di sampit dan Alung pun harus kehilangan ibunya juga berujung menjadi hewan peliharaan, menurut pemilik, dia membeli Alung dari penjualnya saat orangutan ini sedang sakit, lalu memeliharanya seperti hewan domestik pada umumnya. Hingga akhirnya dengan dalih tidak mampu membiayai kebutuhan orangutan tersebut, akhirnya dia menghubungi tim COP. hanya karena memenuhi ego untuk hidup, manusiapun rela mengorbankan nyawa dan masa depan makhluk lain. Alung mungkin masih punya kesempatan untuk dapat hidup di alam bebas, tapi apakah Alung kecil lainnya punya keberuntungan yang sama ? orangutan bukan hewan peliharaan, dia memiliki hak yang sama seperti manusia untuk dapat hidup bebas dialamnya.
