Few days ago, as I took the elevator, I saw a guy inside bringing an object with four propellers on its four sides, one propeller in each side. Noticeably, theres a mechanism in the middle and wires to all the four propellers. Curiously, I asked him what it is? He replied: Its a mounted camera with a remote control that can fly and take pictures from the air. I said: Thats an ingenious invention! I asked again: And you invented it? The young guy replied: Yes, I made it myself. Then I exclaimed: Thats like a drone. He replied as he went out of the elevator as we reached the ground floor: Yes, somewhat similar. Then I told one of the tenants in our condo tower who was also walking out of the elevator: You know, we have many Filipino talents and scientists. Unfortunately, they do not have the full backing and support of the government to develop and nurture local creativity and ingenuity.
