Fifteen-year-old Yahya Yusuf recently made the news for stowing away in a wheel well of a plane flying from California. Why? Because he missed his homeland of Somalia and recently found out that his mother is alive. His father initially told him that the Mom was dead. Yahya is now reportedly recovering in a Hawaiian hospital after losing consciousness yet surviving subzero temperatures at oxygen-depleted heights against all odds. Now Yusufs father is considering reuniting with the Mother after seeing his sons act and said, My son, like many immigrant children, is struggling adjusting to life in this country, he said. Our situation was aggravated by our displacement in Africa for many years after fleeing our home country of Somalia because of war conditions. As a result, my son was not able to receive any formal education before we immigrated to the United States. Yahya is a good kid who I love dearly. Wow! Watch video coverage of Yahyas feat here:
