Fifty Shades of Grey was as awful as everyone had told me it was; it got chucked across the room once, and that was the moment when she called her Subconscious (set up as a dichotomy against her Inner Goddess) a harpy just because it was most sensibly arguing against her involvement with himself in proto-feminist ways. That was halfway through the book, and she called it a harpy twice more until it threw up its hands and started hiding behind the IG. I kept careful count of how many times he found his release for Melinda: six times for that exact phrase and numerous other uses of the word release. Right, now to go back to my planned book pile. I can see what all the fuss was about, but it was poor fanfic at its best and not worth the fuss because of its worst. Is there a LOLcat version?
