Fighting between Israel and Hamas resumed Friday shortly after a 72-hour ceasefire was not extended. Egypt attempted to broker a deal between both sides, but a sticking point that reportedly led to the failure in negotiations was Hamas’ insistence that Israel lift its eight year siege on the Gaza Strip. Palestinians have been the hardest hit in the month long conflict, with over 1.8 million residents displaced while one million have no access to drinking water. RT’s Paula Slier reports from Tel Aviv on the worsening crisis.
