Filiation is a gift given us from the free initiative of the Father. For the younger son of prodigal fame, it is the waiting father who runs to meet him. For the elder son, it is still the father who goes out of the house to plead to him to enter and join the party. It is God who transforms our slave mentality to that of a child of God. “Everything I have is yours! In this light, praying the "Our Father" is a real gift and privilege.
