Final Status Update on Shabir Bhat, a kidney transplant patient from Sheeri, Baramulla. I am happy to report that doctors at SKIMS have conducted kidney transplant surgery on Shabir Bhat. He has been discharged from the hospital. Doctors associated with Bokvut (Kidney) Foundation raised some money for the surgery. Also, in response to my appeal on FB, a very generous person from Kashmir, donated a large sum of money for the surgery. I am very grateful for this act of generosity because this person has helped save a young life. For post operative medications, we will approach the Help Poor Voluntary Trust in Srinagar, an NGO doing good work for poor patients. All the best to Shabir Bhat and his family!
