Final post: sbs.au/news/article/2014/08/19/should-more-people-disabilities-be-working When people go on DSP, theres a fear of losing it when working full time in a meaningful job, that you looked for a very long time. Nothing is guaranteed these days so naturally people may or may not play on their disabilities to hold onto the secure thing they can obtain in this very insecure climate of employment, dole and pensions along with incentives falling though and thus making a decision to work, less attractive... Staying on DSP makes sense for some. So they want to work but they need assurance that the job they go for IS meaningful and lifestyle enhancing, with employers of a mentality that he sure can do the job well instead of worrying about how a person with disability could look in their business and looking at expenses as a burden to take on excellent promising staff with a disability that they fail to see the bonus they carry on with them into employment..
