Finally Vipers Back is broken!!! ============================= At about 10:45pm yesterday Bukedde broke the news about the league sponsorship . It is no longer a secret that the broadcasting rights of the league is going to take two to tangle. For starters we had known what was going on in the background but opted to keep quiet so that the opposition forces break the news to the public. And how sweet it was that it was the impeccable Bukedde to do it. Doing it ourselves would have prompted some to think otherwise. We weighed the options and implications of breaking the news ourselves and opted to keep quiet so that the opposition mouth pieces do the talking. Now that it is out, we can bring you some of the details behind this move. The recent social media rant of Kitandwe were all about this development .The fact that super sport is back with a bang. The fact that his 800 million commission is going to go up in smoke. The fact that the life he had envisaged to live remains a mirage! Our sources have gathered information that from today on wards, we are going to see an irate and raging Kitandwe on all media platforms like Radio, Tv, Social media, etc attacking the Federation and its new perceived sponsors. He has commanded his camp to throw the kitchen sink to the Federation. But for all those in the Azam camp like Kitandwe need not worry. Why? Because, for super sport to take up the sponsorship, they are going to have to agree so some terms set aside by FUFA that are nonnegotiable. These terms are; 1.That super sport directly negotiates the sponsorship deal with FUFA and the clubs. 2.Super sport ceases to deal with Kavume Kabenge as a middle man or for that matter USL in as far as the new sponsorship deal is concerned. The name Kavume Kabenge and USL should not appear anywhere in the contract. If that name appears anywhere either as a result of a typing mistake the contract will be considered null and void. 3. That all media personnel who will work under this new deal are vetted and approved by FUFA. For this reason FUFA has already drafted a list of the media personnel that will work with UPL under the super sport sponsorship. Coincidentally that list is similar to the one sent to Azam. 4. In the new deal, only clubs that will have signed the Deed of Adherence will be allowed to be televised. Those that will have rejected the deed will continue playing in the league but will not be given the money and their games will not be shown on TV. Should Super sport accept these terms, then FUFA will have no problem giving out the sponsorship and broadcasting rights to them. The benefits of the new super sport deal is that it cuts out the contentious but legally acceptable commissions. There will not be a commission going to Kavuma Kabenge or Kitandwe for that matter.
