Finally home after a long day. One final thought for all schools...municate what you are thinking. In this day and age with all of the different platforms to get the word out, why do some school districts fail to send a tweet or an e-mail or not even update their own website for hours? If you are going to be open or not on a day like today, send out some notices. If you are thinking about a delay or even an upgrade to a closing, send out that information. The students, parents and staff need as much time as possible to prepare for any changes. Please do a better job of communicating your thoughts and your communities will be much happier with you. There are definitely some school systems that are better than others in this regard, but we saw several examples of epic failures in regard to simple communications today.
