Finally shed my first tears in this long referendum this morning and it had nothing to do with the result. I found myself explaining that I was texting a friend, to let them know I was there if they wanted to talk, and it was just too much for me. I have acquired strong political views as a result of this campaign but now is not the time to share them. I have changed my profile and cover photos to remove all political bias. Right now I just want everybody associated with Scotland to put aside all feelings of bitterness or triumphalism - or at the very least, keep them private - and show that the vast majority of Scots care deeply about each other. The world is watching us, people. Lets show them we are better than that. Tearing up again so will stop now.
